Monthly Travel Guide

Thailand in February

February is another excellent month across most of Thailand. The cool season continues in the North and Central regions, the Andaman coast remains in peak dry season, and the Gulf coast recovers fully from the northeast monsoon. Chiang Flower Festival brightens up Chiang Mai, and Valentine's Day sees beach resorts at their busiest. Prices remain high at popular spots but the weather justifies it.

Weather by Region

Still cool and dry. Temperatures rise slightly toward the end of the month — expect 17–32°C. Haze from agricultural burning increases, especially from mid-February onward.

Dry and clear. Koh Samui and Koh Phangan enjoy excellent beach weather with calm seas and warm water temperatures around 28°C.

South — Andaman Coast

Continues to be outstanding. Best month of the year for diving visibility around Similan and Surin Islands.
