Do I need a visa to visit Thailand as a UK/US/EU citizen?

Most Western passport holders receive a 60-day visa exemption on arrival. This can be extended once at an immigration office for a further 30 days. If you plan to stay longer, a tourist visa (TR) or longer-term visa is a better option.

Is tap water safe to drink in Thailand?

General

No — tap water in Thailand is treated but not considered safe to drink without further filtration. Bottled water is cheap (฿7-15 for 1.5L) and available everywhere. Most hotels and guesthouses provide free water refills.
