It is not a destination beach by Thai standards, but for a morning swim or an afternoon in a beach chair it is perfectly agreeable. The viewpoint at the top of the hill looking back over Pattaya Bay is worth the walk for the skyline panorama.

Long-stay apartment costs are higher than Jomtien but the quality of build and neighbourhood environment justifies the premium for many. The main drag connecting Pratumnak to both Pattaya Beach Road and Jomtien makes the baht bus service functional, though the hilly terrain means more reliance on taxis or motorbike taxis than in flatter parts of the resort.
