Where to Stay in Pattaya
Pattaya Beach Road (Central)
฿400–8,000/nightBest for: Convenience, budget, nightlife
The main drag along Pattaya Bay. Densely packed with hotels, bars, restaurants, and massage shops. Walking Street is the epicentre of nightlife at the south end. Noisy but highly convenient.

3km south of Pattaya. Longer, less crowded beach with more relaxed atmosphere. Popular with long-stay expats and families. Water sports facilities. Quieter nightlife than central Pattaya.
Pratamnak Hill

The hill between Pattaya and Jomtien has some of Pattaya's best boutique and luxury hotels. Pratamnak Beach is small but cleaner than Pattaya Beach. 10 minutes by baht bus to both areas.
North Pattaya / Naklua

Booking Tips for Pattaya
- 1
Avoid staying directly on Walking Street or the south end of Beach Road if noise is a concern — these areas are extremely loud until 4–5am.
- 2
Pattaya Beach is not Thailand's cleanest. If swimming is a priority, Jomtien is somewhat better or take a day trip to the offshore islands (Koh Larn).
- 3
Baht buses (songthaews) run fixed routes for ฿10–20 per person and are the local transport system — flag one down and pay on exit.
