Chatuchak Weekend Market is Bangkok's most famous market and one of the largest in the world — over 15,000 stalls spread across 35 acres, open Saturday and Sunday 9 am–6 pm. It sells everything from vintage clothing and houseplants to antiques, street food, and live animals (the latter now regulated). Navigating it requires either a map (available at the entrance) or embracing getting pleasantly lost. Section 2–4 is best for clothing and accessories; sections 7–8 for home décor; sections 26–27 for food. BTS Mo Chit or MRT Chatuchak Park stations are the access points.
For a more curated, design-forward experience, the Train Night Market (Talad Neon) on Ratchadaphisek Road is open Thursday–Sunday from 5 pm and attracts younger, more style-conscious vendors. The Rod Fai Market in Srinakarin (also called Train Market Srinakarin) is the preferred vintage and antique destination, drawing collectors and dealers as well as tourists. Asiatique The Riverfront is technically a night bazaar rather than a market but combines river views with 1,500 shops and restaurants in a converted warehouse complex — very tourist-friendly. For fresh produce and local life, Or Tor Kor Market near Chatuchak is considered Bangkok's highest-quality fresh market, with exceptional produce from around the country.
