JJ Green Night Market

Bangkok's coolest retro night market: vintage fashion, live music, and craft beer near Chatuchak

  3. JJ Green Night Market

JJ Green (or Rod Fai Market Chatuchak) is an outdoor retro-themed night market adjacent to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market, operating Friday–Sunday evenings. The market has a distinctive character — rows of vintage cars and motorbikes parked among the stalls set the aesthetic, and vendors specialise in secondhand fashion, vinyl records, retro electronics, antiques, and street food. Live bands play most nights, the craft beer selection is excellent, and the atmosphere is younger and more local than the polished tourist markets elsewhere in Bangkok.

Highlights

  • Retro-themed market with vintage cars as permanent decor and aesthetic centerpiece
  • Outstanding vintage and secondhand fashion, vinyl records, and retro electronics
  • Live music most nights ranging from Thai indie to cover bands
  • Better food and drink scene than most Bangkok night markets — proper craft beer bars

How to Get There

Take the BTS to Mo Chit Station or MRT to Chatuchak Park, then walk south 10 minutes along Kamphaeng Phet Road. The market is directly adjacent to the northern boundary of Chatuchak Weekend Market. A Grab from central Sukhumvit takes 30–45 minutes.

Visitor Tips

1.

JJ Green is weekend-only — confirm you are visiting Thursday–Sunday before making the trip.

2.

The back section of the market has the best vintage clothing stalls; the food and bar area is in the centre.

3.

Bring cash — most vendors do not accept cards and the ATMs inside charge high fees.
