Tips & Things to Know
- 1
Phuket has no train station — the Southern Railway terminates at Surat Thani (for Koh Samui connections). All overland options require a bus at some stage.
- 2
Grab operates at Phuket Airport from the arrivals area. Official airport taxis charge ฿800–1,000 to Patong depending on the zone — Grab is usually cheaper.
- 3
The Phuket Bus Terminal is 4km north of Phuket Town and 15km from Patong — factor in a local transfer on arrival.
