Bus (VIP/Express)

Train

Private Car
฿2,500–4,000Phetkasem Highway (Highway 4) south from Bangkok. Fast in light traffic, but Bangkok to Highway 4 can be slow. Good option for families with luggage.

Tips & Things to Know

Avoid travelling on Thai long weekends (Songkran, Loy Krathong) — both the road and bus are extremely congested. Journey times can double.

The Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai) is on the Bang Wa MRT Purple Line. Do not confuse with Mo Chit (Northern Bus Terminal).

Hua Hin station is beautifully restored and worth arriving at — it is one of Thailand's most charming railway stations.
