About Trang Province
Trang is a relaxed and authentic province on Thailand's Andaman coast that remains significantly less visited than its neighbours Krabi and Phuket. The province has some of the most spectacular island scenery in the south — Koh Rok, Koh Muk with its Emerald Cave, Koh Ngai, and the Trang Islands archipelago offer world-class snorkelling and diving with far fewer tourists than equivalent sites in Krabi. The provincial capital is a pleasant market town famous for its dim sum culture and roast pork, a legacy of Chinese immigrant settlers. Trang's dugong population — the largest in Thailand — inhabits the seagrass beds around Koh Libong.
