About Mukdahan Province
Mukdahan is a Mekong-side border province linked to Savannakhet in Laos by the Second Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge. It serves as a busy trade gateway between Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, with a riverfront promenade, the bustling Indochina Market and an easy, welcoming atmosphere. Inland, the Phu Pha Thoep and Mukdahan National Park areas offer striking sandstone formations, while the glass-floored Phu Manorom skywalk has become a popular viewpoint over the Mekong.
