Koh Samui in July

July is one of Koh Samui's best months. The island is on the Gulf of Thailand, and unlike Phuket, July falls in Samui's dry inter-monsoon period. Hot sunny days, calm seas, and significantly lower prices than the peak December–January period make July an excellent choice.

Hot and mostly sunny. Temperatures 30–35°C. Rainfall is low — brief afternoon showers possible but nowhere near the wet season levels. The sea is calm and clear. Excellent conditions for beach swimming, snorkelling, and day trips.

Crowds & Prices

Moderate. July is a European school holiday month, so there is a noticeable increase in families. Still far quieter and more affordable than December–February. Hotels have good availability.
