Where to Stay in Koh Lanta
Klong Dao (Long Beach)
฿600–12,000/nightBest for: Families, wide choice of accommodation, first-time visitors
The longest and most developed beach on Lanta. Shallow, calm water ideal for families. Good range of accommodation from budget to midrange. Closest beach to the main ferry pier.
Klong Nin
฿700–8,000/nightBest for: Bohemian atmosphere, indie cafes, yoga
Mid-island beach with a relaxed, slightly hippie vibe. Good for those who want independence from big resort facilities. Some of the island's best small restaurants.
Kantiang Bay

South coast bay with dramatic hillsides and calm water. The setting is one of the most beautiful on the island. Fewer options — mostly boutique and resort stays.

฿400–2,500/nightBest for: Culture, local food, transit
Lanta Old Town (near the south ferry pier) is a charming old stilted town over the water. Ban Saladan is the main ferry and entry point. Both have some budget accommodation.
