Chiang Mai in November

November is one of Chiang Mai's finest months — the rainy season ends, temperatures drop pleasantly, and the city hosts Yi Peng (the lantern festival) coinciding with Loi Krathong. Thousands of glowing lanterns fill the night sky in one of Thailand's most magical events.
