Tips

  • Fitness 22 in central Chiang Rai is by far the cheapest option here at 100-150 THB a drop-in, but bring cash — it doesn't take cards.
  • Both hotel gyms, Le Meridien and the Riverie by Katathani, sell day passes to non-guests; the Riverie's is the cheaper of the two at 300-500 THB.
  • Le Meridien's gym is the only one on this list with a 25m pool, which partly explains why its day pass costs more than the Riverie's.
  • If you're staying at the Riverie, ask about bundling the gym pass with breakfast rather than paying separately.
  • The Muay Thai camps on the outskirts run 300-500 THB a session — check recent reviews before committing, since standards vary camp to camp.
