Tips

  • The White Temple gets tour-bus crowds; arrive by 09:00 if you want to see it before the coaches do.
  • The Blue Temple is free to enter and sits on the northern outskirts — easy to pair with the White Temple since both are quick visits.
  • The Black House is 13 km north of town and closes at 17:00, so check the time if you're combining it with other sights the same day.
  • Doi Tung is the outlier of the four — 60 km north, with a combined 200 THB ticket for the royal project and Mae Fah Luang Garden — and needs a full day rather than a quick stop.
  • Entry fees are modest across the board: free for the Blue Temple, 80-100 THB for the White Temple and Black House, and 200 THB combined for Doi Tung.
